Hi my name is Melissa Palomo. My late grandmother was a masterful seamstress and had a pretty good business. She did everything from curtains for government offices to knock off Cabbage Patch Kids, when they were so popular that you couldn't get your hands on them. As for me I was not gifted with patience when it comes to sewing, it once took me over a month to make a lion costume for my oldes...t daughter Kayla, and she was only in a size 2. Even though I wasn't blessed with the gift to sew, I did inherit tons of creativity and a drive to be the best I can be.
I have had a dream to own my own business since I was in my early 20's and after having my second daughter, Emma, it has become a reality. I started Emme's World (Resale children's clothing) 2 years ago and my wonderful customers have helped to to make it success. But still my mind tries to out do it's self and I thought one day, why not try my hand at my own children's line. :) After months of planning I am proud to introduce Emme's World Clothing Company and my first line My Little Chicadees. But you are probably asking "I thought she didn't sew?" And again I can only sew on buttons but was lucky enough to encounter a wonderful and extremely talented seamstress that has filled that void. All the items are designed by myself and are HANDMADE by her and group of talented woman. The fabrics were picked by the quality and feel, I believe that a good piece of clothing should feel as great as it looks.
I hope you will love this collection, as much as I do and with your support we will be able to continue on the journey. With a busy mind like mine the winter collection will only out do this one. :)
